BackupRing provides AI receptionist services that answer phone calls on behalf of local businesses (our “clients”). This policy explains how we handle information from visitors to backupring.com, from our clients, and from people who call our clients’ phone lines.

• Contact / audit requests: if you email us or use the audit form (which opens your own email app), we receive what you send, such as your name, company, phone, email and message. We use it only to respond and to provide the audit you requested.

3. Information from calls we answer for clients

When someone calls a client’s line, our AI assistant tells the caller it is a virtual assistant and that the call may be recorded. We may process the caller’s phone number, voice recording, transcript, and the details they share (for example name, address and the service they need) to handle the call, book appointments, transfer emergencies, and send summaries to the client. We act on behalf of the client for this information.
